– Unfortunately, we are still dealing with the continuation of the upward trend in the number of infections. This number is truly impressive – said the head of the Health Ministry. – Unfortunately, this tendency is lasting.

The minister also spoke about the increase in hospitalizations. – The situation in hospitals is currently a priority – he stressed. Therefore, more temporary hospitals will be opened.

He added that the situation in the regions is being analyzed. (It is still worst in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship.) The mutations of the SARS-CoV-2 virus are also being monitored. Their share in infections, especially that of the British variant, is systematically increasing, and at a rapid pace.

The restrictions in Warmia and Mazury will remain in place for another week. With one minor exception: remote learning will be replaced by hybrid education.

The next voivodeship where stricter restrictions (such as those in Warmia and Mazury) will be introduced is the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
