Municipal services are cutting down trees in the park by Garncarska and Obrońców Helu streets in Bolesławiec. Importantly, only diseased trees are being removed. The felling itself was planned and approved by the County Office. Compensatory plantings will also be carried out.
Seventeen trees are to be cut down by the end of March. It is worth emphasizing that, due to the birds’ breeding season, before removing any tree, workers check whether it has any nests.
In a conversation with the istotne.pl portal, Kazimierz Łomotowski, head of the Municipal Housing Management Department, emphasized that MZGM is doing everything to ensure that Bolesławiec’s parks are full of life, and that thanks to caring for the tree stand, there were no cases of trees breaking during the recent storms.
