Przemysław Czarnek, head of the Ministry of Education and Science, appeared on TVP1. Asked whether students in older grades would return to in-person learning, he stated that there are currently no conditions for this. What is more, it cannot be ruled out that students in grades I–III will return to remote learning:

Unfortunately, there is such a risk. The Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship is the best example of this. We had to send children there back to remote learning due to significantly higher infection rates in that voivodeship.

And he added:

There is certainly a threat. We can all mitigate this threat if we comply with the restrictions introduced by the government—not to cause anyone any inconvenience, but precisely so that we can limit the spread of the coronavirus and give ourselves a chance to decide on returning to schools, keeping grades I–III in in-person education, and bringing grades IV–VIII, secondary schools, as well as university students, back to schools and universities.
