The incident occurred on Monday, February 22, in Nowogrodziec. Firefighters from OSP Nowogrodziec – Osiedle:
[…] shortly after 1 p.m., we were dispatched to a rubbish fire in the ruins of the monastery. Upon arriving at the scene, a fire involving roofing felt was identified in the monastery basement.
They added:
One water stream was deployed, and after about an hour we completed our operations.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. Personnel from OSP Nowogrodziec – Osiedle and OSP KSRG Nowogrodziec, as well as municipal guards, took part in the operation.
