Firefighters from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec handed over Mirosław Sakowski, the headmaster of II Liceum Ogólnokształcące, two detectors monitoring indoor air for the presence of carbon monoxide, natural gas and LPG.
Uniformed officers:
The handover was an opportunity for a brief talk about hazards such as fire and carbon monoxide, commonly known as “the silent killer,” as well as how to behave if they occur. The detectors will be used to secure the kitchen facilities and as teaching aids during safety education classes.
They add:
We hope that, after learning how the detector works, at least some of the young people will persuade their relatives to equip their own households with such devices.
