The tragedy occurred on Wednesday, February 10, in the morning. An employee of one of the companies in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki was involved in an accident. As established by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, which is conducting the proceedings in the case, the man fell from a rubber-shredding machine. (The device had broken down. The 59-year-old foreman, a resident of Bolesławiec, was trying to repair it together with another employee.)
At one point, the man from Bolesławiec fell from a height of approximately two metres, suffering a head injury. The autopsy showed that the head injury was the cause of the man’s death.
It is not known yet whether anyone will be held responsible for the tragedy. Much indicates that this was an unfortunate accident; nevertheless, the prosecutor’s proceedings in the case are still ongoing. The circumstances of the incident are continuing to be clarified.
The deceased was an experienced employee and foreman. He had worked at the Tomaszów company for approximately 30 years. As investigators emphasize, he certainly knew his trade.
