Since February 8, officers of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police have been providing homeless people with hot meals organized by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Bolesławiec in cooperation with local food-service establishments.

During one of their daily checks on February 11, 2021, municipal police officers noticed alarming symptoms in a homeless man: severe tremors indicating hypothermia. The man was also having difficulty moving, so an ambulance was called immediately. After examining him, the emergency medical team took him to hospital.
The officers appeal:
Let us not remain indifferent to homeless people, as in such freezing conditions, tragedy may be only a short step away. If you notice homeless people in need of help, please report this to our unit or the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters (emergency number: 112).
