A police patrol appeared near the hill on Starzyńskiego Street in Bolesławiec on Sunday (31 January). Our readers wrote about the incident on the Facebook profile of istotne.pl under a post about a flasher in the city centre:

Maciej:

Meanwhile, Bolesławiec Police: headquarters, come in – go over there to Starzyńskiego Street near Dino – we have a report that children are sledging down the snowy hill – headquarters, received, we’re heading there!

Mi Chał:

Why catch a pervert when they have better things to do... Photographing children as they sled and play.
And when the pervert does something [...] then they’ll wake up.

We asked the Bolesławiec police for comment on Sunday’s intervention. It turns out that the police received a report concerning the matter, and this was why a patrol appeared in the area of the hill on Starzyńskiego Street. The police statement indicates that the officers did not take photographs during the intervention.

Here is the police spokesperson’s response:

We received a report from a resident that the people staying on the hill were not wearing masks. The officers who intervened established that everyone had their mouth and nose covered.

The information that the officers were taking photographs during the intervention is untrue.
