23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec:

From the very beginning of the term, instructors and trainees have maintained a fast pace. During the past week, candidates for professional military service acquired new skills. Each training day brought them new experiences. This was also the case during the two-day firearms training, which covered preparatory exercises with firearms, performing the combined actions required for rifle firing, and the practical use of training devices and simulators.

The objectives of the training included:

  • familiarising the trainees with the construction and rules for using the weapon, which has been an inseparable element of their training from the beginning of their service;
  • teaching the combined actions performed during Training Firing No. 1, as well as fire engagement and target detection.

Lieutenant Damian Wydrych, commander of the training company:

The attractiveness of training depends on the instructor and the available training facilities. Undoubtedly, taking part in firearms training organised using the Śnieżnik digital simulator made the sessions somewhat more engaging.

And he adds:

Next week, the preparatory-service soldiers will take part in practical training using live ammunition. It has long been known that experience is gained through practice.
