23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec:
Every soldier of the 2nd Rocket Artillery Battery of the 3rd Squadron knows that drill consists of military exercises that teach soldiers how to assume the position of attention and the at-ease position, salute, move with and without weapons, form ranks, and behave both in formation and outside it. They confirmed all the knowledge and skills acquired to date during the […] classes, whose purpose was to assess, among other things, the entire subunit’s personnel’s theoretical knowledge of the military regulations of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, the commander’s knowledge of the principles of commanding and instructing, as well as the individual training of commanders and their mastery of the procedures involved in individual and collective foot drill.
The classes began with a general inspection, during which the following were checked: appearance, the condition of uniforms, the condition of and entries in identity documents, and the soldier’s individual equipment.
During the subsequent part of the classes, devoted to individual drill, the soldiers demonstrated, among other things, weapon handling. Following the individual section, the subunit was assessed on collective drill at squad, platoon, and battery level. A commission appointed by order supervised the proper conduct of the classes and assessed the organization and manner in which the drill inspection was carried out.
