– During a city patrol, officers from the SPEED group of the Traffic Department of the Zgorzelec police headquarters noticed a Renault vehicle whose dipped headlights were not switched on. A man suspected of possessing drugs was behind the wheel, reports Deputy Commissioner Agnieszka Goguł, press officer of the County Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec.

She adds: – As a result of the actions taken, the officers stopped the driver for a road check. It turned out that he had been driving the car under the influence of drugs and had a plastic bag containing a crystalline substance in his possession.

The 35-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County was detained and taken to the Zgorzelec police headquarters. In his apartment and garage, officers found a total of more than 220 street doses of methamphetamine, 2 ecstasy tablets, several doses of marijuana, electronic scales and… substances used to increase the volume of drugs.

The man has already been charged. He could now spend up to three years behind bars.
