Registration for COVID-19 vaccinations has begun. At the “Lekarz Domowy” Clinic Krzysztof Pieszko’s interest is enormous. The facility spent several weeks preparing for the vaccination campaign. Employees completed training and organisational changes were introduced: suitable rooms were designated; there is even a separate entrance for patients coming to be vaccinated. What is more, the telephone exchange was expanded, so that there are now four lines that can be reached simultaneously.

As the facility’s owner himself emphasises, it has considerable experience with vaccinations, having implemented the influenza vaccination programme for the Gmina Miejska Bolesławiec for years. K. Pieszko adds that the changes were introduced so that patients with other conditions would not be left without care.

How can people register?

  • in person or through a family member
  • by telephone
  • via the website pacjent.gov.pl
  • through the helpline: 989.

Interest in vaccinations at the clinic is enormous. Instead of calling, some patients decided to come and register in person. A woman who emphasises that she wants to be vaccinated of her own free will says: “I’m not afraid; I worked in healthcare for 50 years. I worked in infectious disease wards and I’m still alive.”

How quickly will the campaign proceed?

The problem is that all clinics in the country—at least for now—will receive 30 doses of the vaccine per week. As Krzysztof Pieszko points out, the “Lekarz Domowy” Clinic is able to vaccinate many more people. He adds that he hopes vaccine deliveries will increase.
