On Wednesday, 25 November, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Bolesławiec police conducted the “Seat Belts” operation. Officers paid particular attention to whether the driver and passengers had their seat belts fastened

The officers inspected 90 cars. Sixty people were travelling without their seat belts fastened.

The police remind people: seat belts are the most effective way to ensure safety while driving. Half of those killed in road accidents could have survived if they had been wearing seat belts at the moment of the collision. What is more, failing to fasten seat belts is an offence punishable by a PLN 100 fine and 2 penalty points.
