The Municipality of Bolesławiec has signed an agreement with the Wrocław Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management on the joint implementation of the “Clean Air” program. This is intended to improve the program’s effectiveness and help accelerate and improve its implementation in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Interest in the program is very high. Under the agreements concluded, Lower Silesian municipalities will be involved in verifying and accepting applications for funding under the “Clean Air” program. Municipal officials will help applicants submit their applications correctly and compile the required attachments. They will provide advice and information and take over ongoing contact with beneficiaries.

“Clean Air” is a government priority program aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions of particulate matter and other pollutants from single-family homes.

The program offers grants and loans for replacing old, inefficient heat sources with modern systems meeting the highest standards, including a heat substation, heat pump, condensing gas boiler, oil boiler, electric heating system, or solid-fuel boiler meeting specified requirements. Funding can also be obtained for necessary building thermal-modernization work (grant and loan) and for installing renewable energy sources (RES) (loan only). The amount of funding depends on the per-person income in the household.
