The incident occurred during the night of January 8–9 in Szklarska Poręba. At around 3:00 a.m., unknown perpetrators blew up an ATM on Turystyczna Street. OSP KSRG Szklarska Poręba:
We were dispatched to assist the police. We did not expect our task to involve opening the safe inside the ATM using hydraulic tools.
Activities aimed at establishing the perpetrators’ identities and apprehending them are under way. The burglars could face a sentence ranging from one to as many as ten years in prison.
The would-be thieves will be held responsible for attempted burglary; they failed to steal any money.
