Officers from the Traffic Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested two 19-year-old residents of Jelenia Góra County suspected of burglary. Moreover, one of them will face charges for possessing narcotic substances.

The crime occurred on December 15, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Officers received a report that a house in one of the localities in the Podgórzyn municipality had most likely been broken into. A neighbor, alarmed by noises from a nearby property, alerted the police and the owners.

– When the police officers arrived at the scene, they noticed two men fleeing, pursued by the victim. The officers apprehended them. They were two 19-year-old residents of Jelenia Góra County – reports Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. – The police established that the detainees had smashed a window in a Dutch-style mobile home and then stolen small items worth PLN 1,500. It turned out that one of those arrested was also in possession of drugs.

The spokeswoman adds:

The men were placed in police custody. Officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail.

The teenagers face sentences ranging from one to as many as ten years in prison.
