The incident occurred on Friday, 11 December. Criminal investigators from Lwówek wanted to detain a 30-year-old man suspected of committing several thefts in Lwówek County. What is more, the man was wanted because he had a three-year prison sentence to serve.
Lwówek police:
The 30-year-old, seeking to avoid responsibility, attempted to flee from the police officers by jumping into a body of water in Rakowice Wielkie.
The result? After a moment, the suspect turned back, saying that “the water was too cold.” He added that he was surrendering.
The man was detained and placed in police custody. He may now additionally face up to five years in prison.
