Awards are granted for outstanding achievements in artistic work, the promotion and protection of culture, the development of science, outstanding sporting results, and social initiatives that contribute to promoting the city.
The following are entitled to submit applications for the awards:
- the Mayor of Bolesławiec,
- the Bolesławiec City Council and committees of the Bolesławiec City Council,
- cultural institutions, associations and creative unions,
- art agencies and socio-cultural associations,
- editors of local newspapers, radio stations and television stations,
- publishers,
- educational institutions,
- scientific and research associations and organizations,
- sports clubs, associations and organizations,
- social and local-government organizations,
- local governments, authorities and units of local governments.
Individuals and those personally interested in receiving an award are not entitled to submit applications for awards. The procedure and rules for granting the Bolesławiec Mayor’s Awards are set out in Resolution No. XV/104/11 of the Bolesławiec City Council of October 26, 2011, concerning the establishment of the Bolesławiec Mayor’s Awards for promoting the city and defining the procedure and rules for granting them.
Applications for awards for promoting the city of Bolesławiec in 2020 should be submitted to the Customer Service Office at 41 Rynek Street – the Town Hall, and at Marsz. J. Piłsudskiego Square – the office building.
