Last week, as part of the ongoing exercises, systems enabling the simulation of firing were installed on the tanks. The platoon then moved to the live-fire range to prepare the equipment and systems for operation. Among other equipment, the tank crews use the Agdus laser firing system and the KADAG shot simulation system, which make it possible to simulate a battlefield.
After the systems had been installed, the platoon moved to the live-fire range to prepare them for operation. The crew commanders then took part in tactical seminars preparing them for future cooperation with German platoons. During the seminars, the commanders familiarized themselves with both German and Polish procedures in order to standardize future operations on the battlefield.
After the training, the platoon commander issued preparatory instructions to the crew commanders and, the following day, conducted a reconnaissance during which he familiarized them with the future area of operations. He then issued the combat order.
This week, for several days, the platoon took part in exercises integrating Polish and German platoons in operations as a combat reconnaissance patrol and in conducting a joint attack while serving in the company’s first echelon.
After the platoon integration is completed, the Polish tank crews will come under the command of a German mechanized company and take part in an exercise during which they will conduct a day-long march, restore their combat capability, and then proceed to conduct an attack.
