At II Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec, the School Programme for Developing Interests and Supporting Talents has been implemented since 2014. The programme is based on the principles of the Lower Silesian System for Supporting Talents, and its aim is to create educational conditions that foster the development of every student’s potential. The programme is egalitarian in nature and is addressed to all students at the school.
As part of the programme, students in Year 1 undergo an assessment of their interests and talents using a set of tests designed to identify abilities. Every year, the school holds events at which each student can present their interests and talents: the Wiosna Talent Show Talent Festival and the Science Festival.
On a daily basis, the school offers engaging lessons, implements a variety of educational projects and organises extracurricular activities tailored to students’ interests: a science club, drama club, chess club, thematic exhibitions and many others. Students are also highly interested in activities outside school—including lectures at higher-education institutions, lessons at museums and state institutions, international exchanges, educational trips, volunteering, activities at a military unit and the annual science camp.
II LO was first awarded the School Supporting Talents Certificate in 2015. In 2020, the school confirmed the high quality of its work and received the distinction for the second time.
Congratulations, and best wishes for continued success!
