On Monday, 16 November, the police received a report of a suicide attempt. The officers were alerted by the desperate wife of a 58-year-old Bolesławiec resident.
The man barricaded himself in his room. No sounds came from inside. The police forced the door open. The 58-year-old was trying to hang himself with a cable. The officers freed the man literally at the last moment and began resuscitation.
Thanks to the police's swift intervention, a tragedy was avoided. The Bolesławiec resident regained consciousness. He was taken to a hospital in Bolesławiec.
