The matter was reported on Facebook by Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of Lower Silesia:
Below is a list of our five projects, very important in the fight against transport exclusion in Lower Silesia, which have passed positive verification:
- Construction of basic infrastructure within the Wrocław Railway Junction, enabling the launch of new connections as part of the Wrocław Metropolitan Railway on the Wrocław–Wołów, Wrocław–Jaworzyna Śląska and Wrocław–Środa Śląska routes.
- Revitalisation of a section of railway line no. 284 (Legnica–Złotoryja–Jerzmanice-Zdrój) in order to incorporate Złotoryja County into the network of regional passenger rail connections. This project is also necessary for the implementation of the project to revitalise the further section of line no. 284 from Jerzmanice-Zdrój to Lwówek Śląski.
- Improving the quality of connections between Dzierżoniów and Dzierżoniów County and Wrocław by resuming traffic on railway line no. 310 Kobierzyce–Piława Górna and rebuilding the second track on the section of railway line no. 285 Wrocław Główny–Kobierzyce.
- Revitalisation of railway line no. 181 Oleśnica–Syców–Kępno in order to enable the creation of the Wrocław–Oleśnica–Syców–Kępno–Wieluń transport route and connect cities such as Syców (Lower Silesian Voivodeship), Kępno (Greater Poland Voivodeship) and Wieluń (Łódź Voivodeship) with Wrocław.
- Revitalisation of the Zgorzelec–Bogatynia railway line in order to incorporate Bogatynia into the network of regional passenger rail connections.
And he added:
We will now prepare the study documentation within 12 months. After the second stage, the projects will undergo another assessment, resulting in the creation of a ranking list and the qualification of projects for implementation under the Programme.
And he emphasised:
We are developing railways in Lower Silesia!
