Officers from the Traffic Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 37-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra suspected of driving while intoxicated and causing a road incident.
– On October 31, 2020, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers went, on the orders of the duty officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra, to a road incident that occurred in Jelenia Góra on Kilińskiego Street – reports Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters.
She adds:
The officers established that the 37-year-old driver of a Mercedes, while joining the traffic, failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Honda and collided with it. The person responsible for the collision turned out to be a 37-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra. During the proceedings, the officers detected a strong smell of alcohol on him. The test showed 3‰. The officers confiscated the driver's license.
The 37-year-old faces up to two years in prison.
