On the first day of the new year, at four in the morning on Jana Pawła II Street, police officers stopped a Fiat driver for inspection. It turned out that the 32-year-old man was drunk. The test showed that he had 2.2 per mille of alcohol in his system.
At the same time, on Asnyka Street, police officers detained a man who had smashed the display window of a household appliances store.
Before noon, on Tysiąclecia Avenue, police detained a 44-year-old man. He had 20 doses of a drug known as Polish heroin in his possession.
At 8:30 p.m., the display window of a store on Asnyka Street was damaged again, this time at an electrical goods store. The perpetrator was not apprehended.
An hour later, police officers detained another drunk driver. The 34-year-old man was driving a Volkswagen passenger car with 2.30 per mille of alcohol in his blood.
