Cemetery in Bolesławiec

The authorities of the Bolesławiec cemetery extended the necropolis’s opening hours until midnight. It is therefore still possible to visit the cemetery today.

Prime Minister Morawiecki Closes Cemeteries

“We have decided that cemeteries will be closed both on All Saints’ Day and on the day before and the day after,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced today.

“We do not want to create a situation in which people who visit cemeteries lose their lives. This carries enormous risk. We decided that tradition is less important than life,” the head of government stated. He also appealed to seniors. “Dear seniors, your health and your lives are most at risk. Our appeal takes the form of an alarm and a strong directive for seniors to remain at home for at least two weeks,” the prime minister said.

Further Restrictions

Mateusz Morawiecki also appealed for seniors to remain at home for the next two weeks. “Seniors must remain at home and not meet with children or young people, except to deliver shopping, while observing sanitary precautions. Dear parents and grandparents, your lives depend on this,” Mateusz Morawiecki said.

All public administration employees who do not have to perform their duties on-site are to work remotely from Monday, November 2. This restriction is to be introduced for at least two weeks. The prime minister also appealed to other employers to enable remote work to the greatest extent possible.
