Handling a matter during an in-person visit to the office will be possible after booking an appointment in advance. The option of booking an appointment at the office will increase taxpayers’ safety and comfort when handling their affairs. “The electronic service that will enable taxpayers to book an appointment at a tax office is an important step in the National Revenue Administration’s ‘Customer at the centre of attention’ programme. Thanks to the service, we will increase the comfort of handling matters at the office while ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, which is particularly important in the current situation,” says Magdalena Rzeczkowska, head of the National Revenue Administration Magdalena Rzeczkowska.
The new service model was launched as a pilot this summer in tax offices in the Podlaskie and Greater Poland provinces. On 26 October, the service was introduced in five more regions, including the Lower Silesian Province. In this province, taxpayers already have access to an online form enabling them to book appointments from 9 November onwards. Handling a matter earlier—i.e. before 9 November—will be possible after contacting the relevant office. Ultimately, the service will also cover tax offices in the remaining provinces, and KAS customers throughout Poland will be able to use it.
How do you book an appointment?
Appointments can be booked from yesterday for dates from 9 November onwards. An appointment can be booked:
- online – you can use the electronic form available on podatki.gov.pl or your tax office’s website,
- by telephone – you can check the telephone numbers on your tax office’s website,
- at the office – during an in-person visit to the “Appointment Booking” desk, located near the entrance.
Taxpayers appreciate the new service
A survey conducted among taxpayers from the Podlaskie Province, where the service was piloted, showed that 77% of respondents believed that booking an appointment in advance improved the efficiency of handling a matter and increased safety. A further 72% stated that the electronic form was clear and easy to understand.
Other ways to handle matters online
KAS:
We encourage you to continue using the existing remote methods of handling matters at tax offices. In addition to the National Tax Information helpline and the possibility of handling tax matters through the podatki.gov.pl and biznes.gov.pl websites, special telephone numbers are also available at tax offices. They can be found on the offices’ websites under the Contact tab.
And adds:
Important: due to the epidemiological situation, let us book an appointment at the office only if necessary, and reserve it online or by telephone. This will help us avoid unnecessary waiting in line and protect our own safety and that of others.
