Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn, working with police officers from Zgorzelec County, identified the perpetrator of two burglaries and four attempted thefts of goods from truck trailers, and also recovered 31 cartons of coffee.
– The crimes took place during the night of 3–4 October in Gromadka municipality. The 28-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County took advantage of the trucks’ overnight stop. The suspect cut through the tarpaulins and broke the seals to enter the cargo area – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. – In two cases, the resident of Zgorzelec County stole goods consisting of cartons of coffee and children’s accessories.
The spokesperson adds: – As a result of police actions, all the goods stolen from one of the vehicles were recovered.
The suspect is a 28-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County. He is a repeat offender, so he faces a sentence of between one and as many as fifteen years in prison.
