As of 10 October, new regulations concerning the fight against the coronavirus pandemic have been introduced throughout Poland. Bolesławiec police officers, together with officers from Legnica serving in our county as support forces, are checking whether residents are following the recommendations and complying with the restrictions in force.

Police officers are patrolling urban and rural areas, streets, shops and many other public places. The officers are checking locations where many people may be present. Once again, residents will hear announcements from police cars concerning safety rules during the coronavirus pandemic.

Officers respond to cases of lawbreaking. On Saturday, in Bolesławiec County, police officers checked 12 commercial premises, 31 vehicles and more than 40 people to verify whether residents were complying with the tightened regulations.

KPP Bolesławiec:

The most important thing is for everyone to remember that only by working together can we protect life and health. It is necessary to maintain social distance, cover the mouth and nose, and disinfect hands frequently. We can show our concern for others by covering our mouths and noses, which protects us and others from the spread of the virus.

Police officers will remind people of the regulations in force and explain that disregarding the restrictions may expose other people to the loss of health and life. The officers say: “Let us protect seniors, who are in a higher-risk group. Let us look after elderly and lonely people in our immediate surroundings. To help them avoid contact with others, it is worth asking whether they need help shopping or collecting medicines from a pharmacy.”

Police:

Let us remember that failure to comply with these restrictions may expose other people to the loss of health and life. In cases of blatant disregard for the restrictions in force, we can expect a decisive response from the officers.

And they add:

Reminder! During an intervention carried out by police officers, we may receive an admonition, be fined PLN 500, or have a motion filed against us with the court; information may also be prepared for the sanitary inspectorate. It should be remembered that the consequences of such an inspection depend on the individual assessment of the intervening officer.
