As we read on the website of Gmina Warta Bolesławiecka:
Dear Residents!
Due to the constantly increasing amount of residual mixed waste collected from containers placed near multi-family buildings, we remind you that, in accordance with local regulations introduced on 1 July 2020, all residents of Gmina Warta Bolesławiecka are absolutely required to sort their waste.
Unfortunately, we continue to observe problems related to the separate collection of municipal waste, particularly among residents of multi-family buildings. Maintaining cleanliness in waste collection areas (waste enclosures) is also a weak point.
We remind you that carrying out tasks related to waste sorting, as well as keeping the area where waste is collected tidy, is a statutory responsibility of property owners or managers. We therefore ask managers of multi-family buildings to take effective steps to implement proper waste-sorting rules among residents of the buildings they manage, improve order in waste collection areas, and ensure an adequate number of containers for the separate collection of municipal waste.
We also observe that some residents misuse containers for residual mixed waste by placing unsorted mixed waste in them. Please note that bags and containers for residual mixed waste may contain only waste that can no longer be sorted further and placed in the other containers. This type of waste includes, among other things, disposable diapers, so-called “pampers,” clothing and shoes. Those failing to comply with the obligation to sort waste, as well as those putting mixed waste into containers for post-sorting residues, will, after a single warning, be charged an increased fee which, in accordance with applicable local regulations, amounts to 88.00 PLN per person, or four times the rate for the collection of sorted waste.
We also remind you that only the types of waste listed on the stickers placed on the containers may be placed exclusively in containers for the separate collection of waste, emphasizing that paper waste, biodegradable waste and ash should be placed loose in the containers, without bags or plastic sacks. The lack of reliable waste sorting by residents contributes to an increase in the waste-management costs incurred by the Municipality.
