One of the items on the agenda of the October meeting of the Bolesławiec City Council will be a vote on a draft resolution concerning the awarding of the title “Meritorious for the City of Bolesławiec” to Jarosław Kowalski, the former Council chairman and current president of the Bolesławiec District Heating Company.

The document’s justification states:

Mr. Jarosław Kowalski has worked for Bolesławiec and its residents since 2002. He was a councillor of the Bolesławiec City Council during its fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and current—eighth—terms. As a councillor during the fourth term, he was a member of the Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee and the Education, Culture and Sport Committee. During the fifth term, he served as Deputy Chair of the Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee and was also a member of the Audit Committee. During the sixth term, he served as Chair of the Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee. During the two subsequent terms—the seventh and eighth (until 31 August 2020)—he was Chair of the Bolesławiec City Council. Over the years he served on the Bolesławiec City Council, he was also a member of the Assembly of the “Kwisa” Municipalities and a member of the Social Supervisory Board of the District Hospital in Bolesławiec. Since 2010, he has been a member of the Assembly of the “Bóbr” Intermunicipal Association.

Jarosław Kowalski holds a master’s degree in enterprise management and is a civil engineer. He graduated from the MBA in Community Management programme at the Krakow University of Economics, KSB UEK. He completed studies at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the University of Wrocław (postgraduate studies in Business and Commercial Law) and AGH University of Krakow (postgraduate studies in Environmental Management Instruments and Techniques). He uses his many years of professional experience in his work for local government. He is deeply committed to matters concerning the development of our city, particularly environmental protection. Mr. Jarosław Kowalski has become known as a local-government official devoted to Bolesławiec’s affairs.
