During the symbolic presentation of weapons to distinguished recruits from individual platoons, the commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Colonel Marek Wasielewski, congratulated them on the distinction and wished them perseverance and success during their training:

Today I would particularly like to emphasize the symbolism of a weapon—the attribute of every soldier and, at the same time, a tool for maintaining the security and sovereignty of our country. Ahead of you is an intensive four-week training period and a solemn oath—the day that each of you will remember for the rest of your life. Once again, I warmly congratulate you and wish you perseverance in acquiring military skills.

Tuesday’s solemn formation also provided an opportunity to present Military Shooting Badges to soldiers who achieved the best results during scheduled and qualification shooting exercises and thus earned the right to possess them.
