Over the next two weeks, the regiment’s subunits will improve their practical skills in planning and organizing operations, while the fire-support subunits will train in controlling artillery fire and subunits in combat.

Combat training will be assessed during the TORNADO-20 tactical-special exercise, conducted by the regiment commander with the self-propelled artillery squadron and logistics battalion.

Reserve soldiers undertaking long- and short-term military exercises, as well as officer cadets of the Land Forces Academy completing command internships, will train within the subunits’ authorized structures.

The field-training grouping began with an inaugural assembly of the soldiers and a briefing conducted by personnel of the training area command. After recalling the training objectives, the acting commander of the grouping, Lt. Col. Robert Lisiak, discussed the main training activities and appealed for strict observance of safety rules and effective use of the stay at the training-area facilities.

On September 16, as part of the preparatory phase of the tactical-special exercise, a drill inspection with vehicles was conducted with the self-propelled artillery squadron. Officers from the exercise command’s inspection team checked the equipment and elements of individual drill, platoon drill and drill with vehicles.
