As we have established, there was a small coronavirus outbreak in the laboratory at the Bolesławiec county hospital. However, as the director of Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej, istotne.pl reported in an interview with the portal, Kamil Barczyk, the situation is already under control.

Two laboratory employees were infected. Both are in quarantine. Fortunately, they are experiencing mild cases of the disease. One has already recovered.

The head of ZOZ explains that the coronavirus reached the laboratory from outside. In August, one of the employees had contact with a family member who was ill with COVID-19. She first underwent quarantine and then used part of her leave. After she returned to work, she began experiencing COVID symptoms a few days later.

Nevertheless, K. Barczyk assures that it is safe, because the procedures are working and the staff work in shifts. He also emphasizes that employees at the Bolesławiec ZOZ undergo preventive testing every day, as the facility could not afford to close the laboratory.
