The story of the puppies from five years ago

The Mister candidates had their pictures taken with the dogs, helping them find homes and improve their living conditions. The following people took part in the photo session: Angelika Plizga, Miłosz Kuduk, Paweł Wilk, Tomasz Cieślak, Paweł Sak, Damian Pikuła.

The puppies came from one home in the Lwówek Śląski municipality. There were fifteen dogs in total on the property. The Association of Civic Initiatives, based in Bielawa, covered the cost of sterilizing the female dogs. Nine female dogs were sterilized. However, it turned out that every female dog was pregnant. Consequently, the procedures had to be abortive sterilizations. If the dogs had not been sterilized, another 25 puppies would have been born. The Association would then have had to care for a total of 53 dogs from one property. The municipality would have faced a huge problem placing all the dogs in overcrowded shelters. No shelter would have accepted that many dogs, as this is the municipality's average annual limit for dogs placed in shelters. You can still support and help the Association with animal adoptions.
