The examination marked the culmination of three weeks of training conducted at the Bolesławiec unit for nearly two hundred students who put on uniforms to pursue their passions, test their abilities and gain further essential qualifications enabling professional military service.

During the examinations, instructors from the 23rd Artillery Regiment tested the students’ knowledge and practical skills in combat training, including firearms training. The assessed topics included, among other things, knowledge of the construction, disassembly and assembly of weapons, the ability to throw a grenade and to carry out training firing exercise No. 2—firing at appearing targets.

At subsequent assessment stations, they demonstrated their ability to perform training and combat standards in terrain orientation, OPBMR, communications, first aid and signalling with flags.

The level of mastery of the knowledge and skills acquired by the students during the short but extremely intensive basic training was satisfactory. The final element of basic training will be the military oath ceremony, after which the students will become full-fledged soldiers.

At the beginning of next week, they will start the second stage of training as part of the non-commissioned officer module.
