The incident occurred on Wednesday, 7 October. At around 9:15 p.m., municipal police officers were patrolling the area behind Hutnicza Street. At one point, they noticed two men standing beside a train transporting fuel. Both were carrying plastic containers.

When the patrol arrived at the scene, one of the suspects was putting the containers into the boot of a car parked nearby. The officers noticed that he smelled of alcohol. The man began explaining that he and his colleague had drained the fuel from the tankers “for their own needs.” A moment later, he offered the uniformed officers a bribe in exchange for abandoning their official duties.

The containers held approximately 150 litres of diesel fuel. Both suspects were detained and handed over to the police, who are conducting further activities in the case.
