The incident occurred at the end of July this year in one of Bolesławiec’s housing estates. During a meeting between a 25-year-old and a 38-year-old man, an argument broke out that ended tragically for the older of the two. He was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
As a result of further actions and after gathering evidence unequivocally indicating the 25-year-old’s active involvement in the incident, Bolesławiec police officers detained the man.
Yesterday, at the prosecutor’s office, he was charged with causing serious bodily harm. The court had no doubts when deciding to apply the preventive measure and ordered his detention for a period of three months.
The offense under Article 156 §1 of the Criminal Code is punishable by imprisonment for not less than three years.
