In autumn, scouts decided to mark the graves of Home Army soldiers with white-and-red pennants. It was then that the idea of permanently marking the graves arose. These anchors are intended to serve that purpose.

Soon, 40 cast-iron symbols of Fighting Poland will be placed on the graves. In the original version, modeled on those seen on posters, the anchors were to be white and red. However, they did not look their best. Ultimately, it was decided that before being placed on the graves, they would be painted with silver paint.
