Municipal police officers:
Municipal monitoring is very often used to detect socially disruptive offences. These acts frequently occur in the city centre, not only in the evening, but also in the morning and late morning. On numerous occasions, a monitoring operator identifies people casually consuming alcohol in a public place.
They add that on 28 July, this type of situation occurred three times. Officers: “The people identified were consuming alcohol on benches by Saint Cross Square, on Rynek Street and on Fabryczna Street.”
The offenders were fined.
Bolesławiec Municipal Police:
We remind readers that, under the Act on Upbringing in Sobriety and Counteracting Alcoholism, consuming alcohol in public places is punishable by a fine of PLN 100. It should also be noted that attempting to consume alcohol is likewise punishable under the aforementioned act.
Interventions concerning alcohol consumption in public places also serve a preventive role against committing other prohibited acts, such as property damage, which occurs much more frequently after alcohol has been consumed.
