The incident occurred on Obrońców Pokoju Street in Jelenia Góra. “Municipal guards intervened with a man behaving strangely who, according to the person who reported it, was talking to a parking meter,” reports Artur Wilimek, spokesperson for the Jelenia Góra Municipal Guard.
At the scene, the guards found a man who was mumbling and behaving as if he were under the influence of intoxicants. A. Wilimek:
The officers asked him to show an identity document. While taking his ID card out of his pocket, the man dropped a packet wrapped in aluminum foil containing white crystals.
It turned out that the 27-year-old resident of Wleń had another packet containing the same substance. The suspect was handed over to a police patrol. The Municipal Guard spokesperson adds:
After a preliminary examination of the substance found, it turned out that it was probably amphetamine. The police are investigating the matter.
