During their daily patrols, community police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec monitor various people in their assigned areas – including for possession of items originating from crimes or narcotic substances.
“A 41-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was checked in his car. When he saw the police officers, the man tried to hide something in his trouser pocket. It turned out that the suspect had methamphetamine and ecstasy tablets in a plastic bag,” informs Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
She adds:
The second arrested man is a 34-year-old who is well known to the officers. Community police officers suspected that the man might possess drugs. When the police took action to arrest the 34-year-old, who was riding a bicycle, he began to flee: first on the bicycle and then on foot.
After a chase, the suspect was arrested, and the community police officers found marijuana in the pocket of his clothing.
Both suspects could now face up to three years in prison.
