A coronavirus outbreak has appeared in Zgorzelec County. According to the medical interview, it is the aftermath of a funeral ceremony in that area. Several dozen people were tested; as it turned out, a dozen or so of them had contracted the virus.
Two of these people were taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec. The Bolesławiec ZOZ is providing the remaining infected people with outpatient care: hospital staff call them, arrange repeat tests and monitor their condition.
Currently, ten people are hospitalized in the infectious diseases ward of the county hospital. Seven patients have coronavirus, and one person is in serious condition (on a ventilator).
As istotne.pl Kamil Barczyk, head of the Healthcare Team in Bolesławiec, told the portal, the hospital is 100 percent safe; the so-called dirty and clean traffic routes and surfaces do not cross.
The main hospital building houses the emergency department, orthopedics, internal medicine, neurology, gynecology and obstetrics, as well as surgery. All these wards are free of people with coronavirus. (Only patients with a negative test result are admitted.)
