The arrest took place on June 26 in the Bolesławiec municipality. Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn caught the perpetrator of the theft of property from a community center red-handed. The man was detained near the aforementioned building.
“The police seized an electricity meter, a distribution board with fuses and other items originating from the community center from the detainee,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. “The losses were estimated at PLN 1,000.”
In addition, the 27-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was charged with two burglaries at a car wash. The thief stole coins from the machines. (These crimes took place on June 18 and 21.)
Moreover, the police proved that the suspect had stolen aluminum cables worth PLN 1,400 from the premises of a plant in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality.
The 27-year-old now faces a sentence of one to as many as ten years in prison.
