Over the next several weeks, artillerymen from the 2nd Self-Propelled Artillery Squadron of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec will be trained in the construction and operation of 155 mm KRAB self-propelled howitzers, command and ammunition vehicles, as well as the armament and electronics repair workshop.

– Under the supervision of instructors and specialists from Huta Stalowa Wola, as well as representatives of WB Electronics and JELCZ, they will learn the capabilities and operational details of the new equipment, as well as the principles of operating it – says Maj. Remigiusz Kwieciński of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment. – A key element of the training will also be preparing commanders to perform tasks using the TOPAZ Automated Fire Control System, and, at the final stage of the training, carrying out fire missions with the new equipment.

The inauguration of the training was attended by the acting commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Lt. Col. Marek Wasielewski, and the commander of the 2nd Self-Propelled Artillery Squadron, Lt. Col. Jacek Jackowski, who familiarized themselves with its progress. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss further cooperation with HSW specialists in training and exchanging experience in using the new equipment, which will enter service with the 23rd Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec at the end of the year.
