The incident took place during the night of September 20–21 in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. A group of people held a loud drinking party. Police officers came to intervene twice. When the patrol arrived at the scene for the second time, four men aged 53, 37, 23 and 21 attacked the officers.
A scuffle broke out. Two of the attackers were drunk. The 23-year-old had 2 parts per thousand of alcohol in his system, while the 21-year-old had 0.7 parts per thousand. The officers did not suffer any serious injuries.
The men will now face charges of actively assaulting police officers. The youngest of them has already been remanded in custody for two months. All four face up to 10 years in prison.
