Traffic Bureau of the National Police Headquarters:
Concerned for the safety of road users, particularly children and young people, police officers undertake a range of initiatives aimed at improving safety on Polish roads. One of them is the preparation of a list of locations where buses and bus drivers transporting children and young people for holidays are inspected. The list contains an overview of locations throughout the country, together with contact telephone numbers where information can be obtained about the possibility of carrying out ad hoc inspections of buses and drivers.
The officers add:
During an inspection, the bus’s technical condition and equipment, the driver’s qualifications and sobriety are checked above all.
It is a good idea to inform police officers about a planned trip several days in advance. This can help avoid a longer wait for a police patrol to arrive.
And they emphasise:
At the same time, we would like to inform you that on the https://bezpiecznyautobus.gov.pl website, you can check basic information about a bus: technical inspection data, technical specifications and information about its third-party liability insurance policy.
In Bolesławiec County, bus inspections are carried out at the PKS depot on Modłowa Street in Bolesławiec. More information can be obtained by calling 75 649 62 23. (Fax 47 873 33 36).
