Cyclists raced in the municipal forests

On Saturday (September 19), the International MTB Mountain Bike Race was held in the forests near Tysiąclecia Avenue (the area behind the Orlen fuel station). The competitors raced in 10 categories. Here are the names of the best:

• in the youngest boys’ category:

On Sunday (September 20), the Small MTB Cycling Marathon was held. The participants had to cover 25 km. Here are the names of the winners in the individual categories:

• Przemysław Kaczmarek from UKS Orlens Euro-Clean Chojnów – in the youngest boys’ category
• Bartosz Zyga from Bolesławiec – in the boys’ youth category
• Weronika Kuczyńska from Cyklosport Bolesławiec club – in the girls’ youth category
• Kamil Korba from UKS Orlens Euro-Clean Chojnów – in the younger juniors’ boys’ category
• Joanna Dubieniecka from Leśna – in the younger juniors’ girls’ category
• Eryk Janowicz from Nowa – in the junior boys’ category
• Piotr Formicki from Kostrzyca Jeleniogórska – in the elite category
• Marek Urbaniak from Lubin – in the masters’ category
• Dana Havlatkova from the Czech Republic – in the women’s category

Joanna Dubieniecka won the women’s overall classification, while Piotr Formicki won the men’s overall classification.

The International MTB Cycling Marathon was also held that day. The mountain bikers competed over a distance of 50 km. Here are the names of the best: Anna Kuniej from Chojnów (in the junior girls’ category), Szczepan Paszek from Teamu Bikestacja (in the elite category), Roman Polansky from Česká Lípa (in the masters’ category) and Ivana Loubkova from Česká Lípa (in the women’s category).

Ivana Loubkova won the women’s overall classification, while Szczepan Paszek triumphed in the men’s overall classification.
