This is what the bypass looked like on Tuesday, June 9, after 11:00 a.m. It was completely gridlocked, from Brzeźnik to the roundabout on Kościuszki Street.
It can only be added that, without the A4, scenes like this would be an everyday occurrence in the City of Ceramics.
What caused the traffic jam?
Let us recall. The incident occurred during the night of June 8–9, after 4:00 a.m., on the A4. The driver of a Mercedes truck, a 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen, probably fell asleep at the wheel. The foreign national left his lane and hit the barriers. The vehicle overturned and blocked both lanes.
The driver was traveling with his replacement driver, who was also Ukrainian. Both men were sober. Fortunately, neither of them suffered more serious injuries.
