One of the items on the agenda of the 30th session of the County Council, held on Thursday, September 17, was the presentation of promotions to appointed teacher status. The following teachers were promoted to the third level of their professional careers: Katarzyna Krukar (German teacher at the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych), Waldemar Krzemiński (librarian teacher at the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych), Aneta Dziadek (history teacher at the Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych), Sławomir Dorużyński (physical education teacher at the Zespół Szkół Budowlanych), Patrycja Pilarczyk (teacher of job-preparation, personal and social functioning, and movement therapy subjects at the PZSiPS), Piotr Napiórkowski (physical education teacher at the II Liceum Ogólnokształcące), Agnieszka Król-Solińska (Polish teacher at the ZSM), Zbigniew Herbut (national defense preparation teacher at the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych) and Anna Pronkiewicz (teacher of remedial and educational classes at the PZSiPS).
“All the teachers who took the examinations demonstrated the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain the promotion,” said during Thursday’s County Council meeting Alicja Krzyszczak, head of the Education, Culture, Physical Culture and Sport Department of the Bolesławiec County Office. “It is often said that teaching is a vocation. Children love those teachers who pursue this vocation with heart,” added Karol Stasik, chair of the Council.
Obtaining the appointed teacher professional promotion level significantly affects a teacher’s status, increasing their employment rights and resulting in higher pay.
