Officers from the Traffic Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec noticed a vehicle running a red light at one of the intersections. “The traffic stop quickly explained the driver’s behavior. The parents were rushing to the hospital with their burned young child,” says Staff Sergeant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. “Without a moment’s hesitation, the officers decided to escort the vehicle carrying a one-year-old boy who required urgent medical intervention. Since the Bolesławiec hospital is designated exclusively for COVID-19 patients, medical rescuers treated the little boy and, for his safety, sent the parents to another hospital.

The officers once again began an escort, this time to a hospital in Legnica, several dozen kilometers away. While driving on the motorway, the burned child’s father signaled to the officers that there was a technical problem. “When they pulled over to a safe place, it turned out that the escorted car was running out of fuel and there would not be enough to reach the hospital,” adds the Bolesławiec police spokeswoman. “The mother and her son were taken into the police car and driven directly to the medical facility, where he received further assistance.

The officers from Bolesławiec:

We wish the burned little one good health.
